Corporate Capabilities Our capabilities are wide ranging: Mechanical and electrical design With an experienced team of engineers in our design office we work alongside our clients and their advisors to produce the solution they require. All of these are available in 2D and 3D CAD drawings. Metal fabrication Using a skilled team of coded welders we fabricate to meet the clients needs, working with a range of metals including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, cast iron and Zintec Mechanical and electrical assembly Following our exacting quality standards, our engineers assemble all the mechanical components and required electrical cabling. These are inspected at various stages within the process to ensure the highest quality finished product. High Quality painting and finishing We meet the stringent requirements of the Ministry of Defence, Superyacht builders, and off shore platforms using a variety of paints and techniques to ensure that however harsh the environment our products will be protected. Testing and inspection Testing can be undertaken in specifically designed test bays at our factory which include various cooling configurations depending on the clients requirements. Testing and presentation of witness tests are also undertaken following Classification Societies rules, Military and Commercial Standards, NHS Trust requirements and WIMES/Petro/Chem application requirements. Testing can also be undertaken on site using loadbanks or site load, including simulations and complete black building/black start exercises. Installation and Commissioning From site delivery and generator positioning through pipework and wiring, testing, cleaning and final handover for industrial applications; to on board installation support, full commissioning and sea trials for marine applications; G&M have the expertise and quality to deliver our clients’ solutions. Servicing Our qualified service engineers have over 30 years experience in servicing and replacing generators, with direct access to world class technical support and an experienced backup team in our extensive factory facilities.
