31-July-2012. The World’s Leading Yacht transport and logistics provider, Dockwise Yacht Transport has recently announced that is partnering with New Zealand Millennium Cup to offer discounts on shipping for the 2013, 2014 and 2015 editions of the superyacht event. The DYT voyage for 2013 will set sail at the end of November 2012 from Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The voyage will then make its way to Le Marin (Martinique) then move on to Port Everglades in Florida, then to Golfito in Costa Rica before arriving in Auckland by February in time for the Regatta.

“We transport yachts of all sizes to different ports around the world,” said DYT’s exclusive agent for New Zealand, Dave Ross, who will handle all arrangements for interested parties, “but owners and captains of superyachts are especially appreciative of our knowledge of the South Pacific and the service we provide with our fleet of semi-submersible ships, which utilize a float-on/float-off method that is unique to Dockwise Yacht Transport.”

The New Zealand Millennium Cup which is hosted by the New Zealand Marine Export Group and will take place from February 14 to 17, 2013. The Millennium Cup has recently been made a permanent fixture on the superyacht racing circuit and it is expected that it will become one the premier regattas of the South Pacific.

The reason it is believed that it will become the premier race, is because of its unique format that presents a mixture of Harbor and Passage style races which will take place in the Hauraki Gulf.

The racing will get underway starting on the 14th with a cocktail party and briefing for owners and captains. Racing will begin on the 15th and end on the 17th which will be followed by dinner, official prize giving and entertainment in celebration of the Winners and the race being successful.
