The arrival of the train today is the first step in our move ‘home’ to San Francisco.”

The train was in Newport, Rhode Island following the conclusion of the 2011-12 AC World Series where the train took a long journey across the Continental United States seeing all of the plains, mountains and desert before finally reaching the beautiful San Francisco Bay.

After the America’s Cup Express arrived at Pier 80 in the San Francisco Bay where all of its cargo will be unloaded which is needed to set up the AC Village at Marina Green which act as the home of the racing for the America’s Cup.

The home team, ORACLE TEAM USA has already taken advantage of the 2012-13 America’s Cup taking place in their own backyard .They have begun to practice sailing in the San Francisco bay, other teams are expected to arrive in August to begin Practicing as well.

The teams from last year have a change to rest up and recharge their batteries before sailing to their new destination. The America’s Cup World Series reminds of what summer is all about.
