3 Deaths in Newport Shipyard

5 October 2012- Shocking news this morning comes from a report that 3 women have believed to have died in a tragic car accident sometime in the early hours of this morning Friday 5 October.
It's believed that after returning home from a birthday party that the girls missed the turn and ended up in the travel lift basin only to be found by a Fuel Truck this morning.
The crew members are believed to be off S/Y Paraiso & S/Y Hyperion.
Newport police Capt. Russell Hayes tells the Newport Daily News that the car apparently missed a right-hand turn Friday morning and hit the water near the main building of the shipyard.
Police said there are no indications of foul play and it does not appear speed was a factor in the crash.
