UK & New Zealand. BTBoats representative for Kiwi 40FC Class 40

17-July-2012. Whitecap is excited to announce its appointment as the UK representative for the Kiwi 40FC Class 40. Working with Lapo Ancilotti of BTBoats, Whitecap will make the Kiwi 40FC more accessible to the UK market and aid skippers in maximising the potential of this race winning design.
The Kiwi 40FC is the result of a collaboration between BTBoats and Bruce Farr. Produced in Wellington, New Zealand by BTBoats, great emphasis has been placed on unrivalled build quality and ergonomics to create a highly manageable race yacht with practical, elegant solutions for the interior. From conception to completion, the mantra ‘keep it simple’ has been followed and the result is a well finished, aesthetically pleasing, fast and reliable product.

With the first three boats off the production having performed well on the racing circuit, initial performance expectations have been exceeded. Boat number three ‘Bodacious Dream’ came 2nd out of 14 boats in the competitive Class 40 Atlantic Cup. Competing against proven, battle hardened boats and sailors, 'Bodacious Dream' showed excellent pace in her first competitive outing. 'Roaring Forty 2’ has had similar success. Finishing 2nd in the Twostar  Two handed Transatlantic Race from Plymouth UK to Newport USA, the boat beat the course record for a boat 40ft or less.
